Welcome!
I’m Isabella Bendix, a licensed marriage and family therapist who specializes in individual and relational therapy.
I offer evidence-based care utilizing The Gottman Method, mindfulness-based approaches, attachment theory, and somatic practices. I am trained as a systemic therapist, which means I take into account how individual symptoms are influenced by broader systems, such as family, romantic relationships, culture, gender, race, and sexuality.
My goal is to create a warm, compassionate, non-judgmental environment for my clients to explore themselves, their relationships, and the world around them. I approach counseling with curiosity about my clients' unique experiences and perspectives. I aim to collaborate with clients to foster self-compassion, greater understanding, find meaning in difficult moments, and create a path toward more fulfilling relationships.
Many of the experiences that inform my work as a therapist come from just being human. I understand what it is like to navigate complex relationships, experience grief and loss, and feel stuck in repetitive cycles. I am here to walk with you through these life moments.
Outside of my clinical experience, I am a certified yoga instructor. I frequently incorporate mindfulness techniques and nervous system regulation tools into therapy to increase present-moment awareness and support emotional regulation.
I was born and raised in Southern California and feel lucky to call San Diego home! When I am not in the office, I love doing yoga, going to the beach, cooking, and spending time with family and friends.
